In this intensive 5-day course, you'll learn how to use 3D scanning, CAD modeling, and 3D printing to create a precise mold that will then be used for glassblowing. Ideal for artists, designers, and glassblowers who want to explore innovative manufacturing techniques. Course Schedule: 🔹 Day 1: 3D Scanning & CAD Modeling Introduction to 3D scanning techniques for digitally capturing physical objects Basics of CAD modeling for editing and optimizing the 3D model Preparation for 3D printing: Adjusting and exporting the file 🔹 Day 2: 3D Printing – From the Idea to the Tangible Model Introduction to various 3D printing processes and materials Printing the positive model, which serves as the basis for the subsequent mold Optimization of the printed model for mold making 🔹 Days 3 & 4: Mold Making – Creating the Basis for Glassblowing Introduction to materials for mold making (plaster, silicone, graphite, etc.) Creating a multi-part mold for subsequent glassblowing Curing, post-processing, and preparing the mold for the furnace 🔹 Day 5: Glassblowing – Bringing Your Design to Life!
