The Glass Studio Comes to You
No lecture. No moderator. No flipcharts. Just fire, glass and the surprise of what emerges when you stop thinking and start doing.
We set up our mobile workshop wherever your event takes place: company premises, courtyard, summer festival, Christmas party. The studio is completely self-sufficient.
WHAT YOU MAKE?
We start with simple geometric shapes: solid spheres and paperweights, then blown cylinders and drinking glasses. Before each demo, I sketch out the steps on a clipboard. A camera on a tripod films along the way, so you can stay focused on your work and still have photos and an explanatory video as course material afterwards.
How it works
Everyone blows their own glass object. Everyone takes part, no one just watches. At the furnace, one person works at a time, guided by us. That's exactly what makes it special: you rely on each other, pass tools along, hold the piece, count along. Glass is a craft no one does alone. Depending on the group and the season, we combine glassblowing with glass fusing or glass painting, so that even larger groups stay busy the whole time.
Who it's for
Companies, agencies and creative teams. Christmas parties, summer parties, product launches, anniversaries, client events.
What we need on site
The furnace runs on propane and is approved for outdoor use only. The furnace and workspace need at least 4 × 6 m, covered, plus power from a standard (Schuko) socket. The furnace is about as loud as a busy street. We bring everything else.
Timeframe
* Do I need any experience? No, we start from zero.
* Can I take my pieces home right away? Glass has to cool overnight in the annealing oven. Pieces from the last course day can only be collected the following day, so keep this in mind when planning your departure.
* How many people? A maximum of three per course.
* Languages? German, English, Spanish.
Costs
Every event is priced individually: the number of people, location, duration and travel determine the price. The basis is the rental of the mobile studio including setup and teardown, the working time of the glassblower and assistant, and transport. Bookings become binding with a 50% deposit.
