WHERE I WORK
Two locations. One logic.
The design studio Fusión works at two locations — each with its own infrastructure, both coordinated with each other.
The workshops are located directly on the water, a stone's throw from Potsdam. Here you'll find several multi-purpose workshops with propane and high-voltage power connections—designed for all material-intensive processes: glassmaking at the furnace, metal casting and forging, woodworking, and ceramics. The spaces are all modular—depending on the project, the same area can be transformed into a glass studio, a metal workshop, a classroom, or a temporary studio for residencies.
The Berlin location is dedicated to digital fabrication. All computer-controlled processes take place here: 3D modeling, resin and ceramic 3D printing, and CNC milling for wood and metal. The makerspace simultaneously serves as a planning office, development space, and starting point for consultations and project development.
Together, the two locations form a continuous production cycle — from the digital model in Berlin to the finished object from the oven in Geltow.
Those attending a multi-day course don't need to stay in a hotel. The neighboring detached house offers rooms for rent, a large, light-filled coworking space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and toilet. For families or groups, there are several vacation apartments available for rent on the same street.
After the course: a garden, a barbecue, and right on the doorstep a leased plot of land with a natural swimming area on Lake Schwielowsee — 20 meters away. In summer, this becomes the best workshop setup in the region — workshop, accommodation, coworking space and swimming lake all under one roof.
