The introductory course is your first step into the world of glassblowing. At the studio in Geltow on Lake Schwielowsee, you'll work directly at the furnace, with glass heated to around 1,100°C.

No prior experience is necessary. The course starts from scratch and guides you step-by-step through the process: taking the glass out of the furnace, shaping it with wood and tools, blowing, wrapping, and opening. You'll begin with simple forms like solid spheres and blown glasses.

Glassmaking is teamwork. One person spins the glass, another holds it, and another passes it along. Therefore, the course is ideal for friends, couples, and small groups.

Each participant takes home several of their own pieces, both solid and blown. The pieces cool overnight in the annealing oven and can be picked up the following day.

We recommend wearing cotton clothing and closed-toe shoes.
